These instructions pick up just after unlocking the side quest and tracking it, as referenced in Chapter 13: Creatures Of Prophecy.
Nav assist your way to an interact prompt. You may find that there are two prompts here, the right of which sees Atreus asking where Helka is leading you and the left should allow you to board a boat.
Rowing for a while, with some dialogue about following Helka, you should eventually come to an interact for a dock.
Disembarking from the boat, nav assist inland and you’ll come to an interact for some paw prints
.
Proceeding further via nav assist, potentially entering a small battle along the way, you’ll come to a traversal sequence, with Mimir and Kratos talking about the effectiveness of noses. You’ll also hear Helka barking up ahead.
Taking care of a couple of exploding plants, nav assist should lead you to an interact for a door.
Going through said door gives you another interact prompt that indicates you’re on Helka’s trail, alongside a spitter plant.
Enemies await you, as well as a locked chest . The chest is not covered here as of yet.
Combat over, nav assist your way forward and an interact prompt will eventually come into view. Hit this to change the time of day, then continue onwards.
Nav assisting once again will get you to a blades point, where Atreus says we can’t be far now
.
More nav assisting will see a flare shoot upwards and burst into sparks, with Atreus remarking on what it could mean.
Nav assist to an interact prompt, where you’ll board Freyr’s boat from earlier.
Travelling on said boat, with no control, you’ll enter a very interesting optional area, the Crater.
Nav assisting through some auto-traversal to a blades prompt, you’ll see more flares, with additional dialogue hinting at another, different, side quest.
Whilst you could technically leave now as you have completed the current quest, returning to whatever else you were doing, you can also continue on to complete For Vanaheim!
