Hi all,
As you may have spotted, visually or otherwise, things look a good bit different around here compared to how this site used to function.
That’s all because, for a long time, I’ve been working away behind the scenes to get a more visually appealing site up and running. That process has been long and arduous, with many trials and tribulations along the way. Maybe I’ll write some of that down if you’re interested to learn more about what I’ve had to go through.
In terms of what’s changed, let’s instead focus on what hasn’t: The content’s all the same, or at least it will be over time if it’s not already. However, the structure and formatting might be a little different to what you’re expecting, with more bulleted lists instead of full pages that are nothing but walls of text.
For the sake of posterity, I’ve kept archive.SightlessKombat.com as, well, an archive of this site’s previous incarnation.
From now on though, new reviews, guides, articles and other content will appear here, as will anything else I create or publish in this space. I’m certainly looking forward to more regularly disseminating my thoughts and opinions on past and future games, as I’ve done in years gone by.
If you’re curious as to why this has taken so long, that’s because the site now runs on WordPress for, again, the sake of better visual consistency. I was concerned about putting content onto two systems at once and thus resorted, sadly, to not publishing new reviews until I felt I was ready to fully commit to a single method of curation.
If you find anything that’s broken, missing or otherwise could use a tweak, please do let me know and I’ll look into it.
I really appreciate all the support you’ve provided me over the years, even if that’s just reading my reviews and sending feedback my way or sharing it with others who might find the insights useful for their own gaming needs.
With that update out of the way, let’s continue fighting for greater accessibility for gamers without sight and everyone else, of course!
